On Thursday 2 June, Best municipality, Best Education Foundation and childcare centre signed
Korein a cooperation agreement to build an integrated child centre (ICC) in the
new residential area Aarlesche Erven in Best. Children aged 0 to 13 from the neighbourhood and surrounding
(outer) area of Aarle will soon be able to come here for care and education. This will also be the
new location for children of Heydonck Heivelden. The sustainable building will also house a
meeting space for staff and the neighbourhood.
Construction work is expected to start during 2023.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Connection with nature<\/strong>
In the new residential area Aarlesche Erven, nature plays an important role. This is no different in the new\nchild centre

Op donderdag 2 juni ondertekenden de gemeente Best, stichting Best Onderwijs en kinderopvang Korein een samenwerkingsovereenkomst voor de bouw van een integraal kindcentrum (IKC) in de nieuwe woonwijk Aarlesche Erven in Best. Kinderen van 0 tot 13 jaar uit de wijk en het omliggende (buiten)gebied van Aarle kunnen hier straks terecht voor opvang en onderwijs. Dit wordt ook de nieuwe locatie voor kinderen van Heydonck Heivelden. In het duurzame gebouw komt ook eenontmoetingsruimte voor medewerkers en de wijk. Naar verwachting starten de bouwwerkzaamheden in de loop van 2023. Verbinding met de natuurIn de nieuwe woonwijk Aarlesche Erven speelt de natuur een belangrijke rol. Dat is in het nieuwe kindcentrum niet anders. De betrokken partijen bekijken nadrukkelijk hoe de verbinding gemaakt kan worden met de natuur en duurzaamheid is een belangrijk aspect in het programma van eisen. Zo wordt veel aandacht besteed aan de keuze voor materialen en zal het gebouw zo energieneutraal mogelijk zijn. Ook in het programma van opvang en onderwijs krijgt de natuur een belangrijke rol, bijvoorbeeld door buitenlessen. Stevige visieIn het kindcentrum werken onderwijs, peuteropvang en kinderopvang nauw met elkaar samen, met gezamenlijke ontwikkeldoelen en in een doorgaande lijn. Kinderen kunnen er op basis van interesse of ontwikkeling spelen en leren. Ze werken er aan echte problemen, samen met de omgeving. Naast wereldburgerschap en maatschappelijke betrokkenheid is er vanzelfsprekend volop aandacht voor een stevig aanbod van de basisvaardigheden lezen, taal en rekenen. Parallel aan de bouw van het nieuwe kindcentrum wordt verder invulling gegeven aan het opvang- en onderwijsaanbod. Blik vooruitNaar verwachting kan het nieuwe kindcentrum na de zomervakantie van 2024 in gebruik genomen worden, onder voorbehoud van vertragingen veroorzaakt door onvoorziene omstandigheden. Het kindcentrum wordt (juridisch) eigendom van stichting Best Onderwijs. Zij zijn ook bouwheer.
